Youth Advocacy Program – A project of Protect Education in Insecurity and Conflict (PEIC)

The Youth Advocacy Program (YAP) believe in youth as positive changemakers and mobilises and empowers young people as key agents in finding solutions and bringing positive change to the world, with skills and platforms to advocate for the right to education. The youth advocate’s scope of engagement is broad, and have included global forums, field workshops for transferring of knowledge, campaigns, dissemination of information, and research publications. The youth advocates are champions of EAA’s mission of protecting and promoting the right to education, and represent the foundation locally, regionally, and globally. In 2021, EAA’s newest cohort was inaugurated with inspiring individuals from different backgrounds – each aligning to EAA’s different interventions and mandates – from advocacy for literacy and primary education in Kenya, art advocacy in Uganda to advocacy for the protection of education in Yemen.
