Implemented IFERB through a combination of channels such as video snippets on messaging app ‘WhatsApp’, local newspapers, wall paintings, or physical learning materials.

Lebanese Alternative Learning (Lebanon)

provided a refugee education program to support refugee children in camps through mobile phones and provided professional development trainings during COVID-19.

Dignitas (Kenya)

used a blended approach of messaging app ‘WhatsApp’, in-person and phone call interactions to implement the IFERB.

Ektara (India)

ensures learning continuity for children amidst COVID-19 induced school closures using an internet-based text messaging application.

British Council (Pakistan)

piloted IFERB with OOSC to ensure learning and productivity during COVID-19.

Zambia Open Community Schools (Zambia)

created access to education for marginalised children through distance learning during COVID-19, through IFERB.
